Newly Opened Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Store Serves Smiles to Local Neighborhood

RICHMOND, Va. – Menchie’s, a global brand that has built its reputation on making each of its guests smile by providing an unparalleled frozen yogurt experience, recently opened its Menchie’s Shoppes at Westgate at 11761 W. Broad Street in Richmond.

Bobalicious Frozen Yogurt + Boba Drinks expanding

A Richmond area-based frozen yogurt and tea chain is tripling its size, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Bobalicious Frozen Yogurt + Boba Drinks, which already has a shop in Mechanicsville, is opening three new shops in the next month or so and has plans for two more next year.

The chain expects to open in Chesterfield Towne Center's food court Sept. 15. It then expects to open a shop at Southpark Mall in Colonial Heights on Sept. 29 and one in the Chattanooga Plaza on Hull Street Road near state Route 288 in Chesterfield on Oct. 6.

The two shops planned for next year will be in Henrico County, one in the western part of the county and the other in the eastern part.

Make a Wish at Applebee's this month

Throughout July, all Richmond-area Applebee’s are serving up strength, hope and joy for local children through donations to the local Make A Wish chapter. Last year, Richmond restaurants granted wishes to four area children facing life-threatening illnesses.

From July 1-31, Applebee’s guests and team members can donate to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation® – the world’s largest wish-granting organization – by purchasing paper star icons in $1, $5, $10 and $25 increments. The star icons will hang throughout the restaurants as visual reminders of the grassroots Make-A-Wish fundraiser, which will benefit children in the metro area.
